1142; 4th

Bismillah,

Exactly 5 months since I left home but I've already received 4 death news and cried so hard to 3 of it. Including today. The first one was my very own family, the love of my life. Still remember that none of anyone's comfort words gave any comfort. So I almost stopped comforting.

Al fatihah to my dearest nenek, my students' father & grandfather and my roommate's mother. Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. From Him we came and to Him we return.

1116; I'm Sorry

Bismillah.

I feel like the worst friend ever for not being there at times they need me most. I really wish someone told me something so that I don't always have to be that stupid-clueless-the-last-person-to-know friend. Heck distance hurts.

1072; Hulu Langat & CIMB Talent Trail 2017

Bismillah.

I have been struggling to post my journal in this blog these days. Fyi, I have like 5 post drafts in my phone that are left hanging coz I just couldn't figure out how to end them. My writing skills worn off day by day, I could say.

Okay back to the topic! Ziz pozt iz an appgheciation to Hadina muh zweetezt fghen. Okay sorry I'm so into French accent these days I don't know why but what I am trying to say is, this post is an appreciation to Hadina my sweetest friend!

Last week I went to Hadina's house in Hulu Langat (because I have a competition there) and here my fellows, I declare, that I fell in love- with her place! Gahhhh so many trees I literally cried. THIS IS SO MY DREAM HOUSE. The one thing that made me excited to get out of the bed everyday is her house compound. I made Hadina woke up early every morning just to name me all the trees- which she herself also don't know hmm so we end up asking her dad (when he was rushing to go to work, which was really a bad timing haha).

One thing that I hope to never forget is when the four of us (my CIMB Talent Trail teammates & I) did our fitnesses in the rain. On day 1, we had to jog for a good 15 minutes in the drizzle before it rained heavily.  The next day, we went for a 2km jog on the road, also in the rain and it was so much fun- but then I had mild headaches hahaha. In some way, Hulu Langat feels like Sabah because of the breeze, fresh air and the way the clouds form at the peak of the mountains. Suddenly I missed Erna.

On the second day there, I FREAKIN RODE A BICYCLE GUYS. Ok I seem so exaggerating but let me be. The last time I rode one was during primary school! I was so so so content that I couldn't control my smile for a good 5-minutes. Gahh, why does this place makes me so happy. I'm happy that I still have that bicycle-riding skills but yeah, a bit wobbly. Hadina brought me cycling on the road and what was I thinking. I risked my whole life to my wobbly riding skills. I was so scared whenever there were cars coming ahead, even motorcycles, that I had to stop and let em pass before I could continue. I forgot the use of the bicycle brakes so everytime I want to stop, I had to use my legs. There's one time I couldn't stop properly, a motorcyclist had a good laugh on me before he passed. Yaa yaa, I would've laughed at myself too so I forgive you pakcik.

To conclude (I had to put a conclusion to this just so it won't be another hanging post), from running in the rain to late night jengas, I had so much fun. The competition went well too but just hard luck. Maybe next time, in shaa Allah! Thank you Hadina for being such a good host. I need to come back there when it's the fruit season so don't forget to invite me haha (tak malu).

Hadina's house compound, and the bicycle trail we made on the court.
p/s: I didn't expect this post to be this long, honestly. Just poured what's on my mind in one go. Maybe it isn't my writing skills, it's the procrastination I did. /slow claps/

1062; Hug

Bismillah.

"Dont do that"

The hug I mean. It's too tight I'm afraid I'm gonna cry, just like that day.

Thank you for the adventures,
See you when I see you.

1058; Yana, Piqah, Syaleen, Erna

Bismillah.

It was a calm morning in Mayang Selida room 8-17.

I was up earliest as usual. The night before, we arranged our beds side by side so that we can sleep together for the last few nights, so this morning I woke up to the sight of my roommates by my side. Them sleeping was never a big deal before but that morning, it feels slightly different. Emotionally different.

I started counting. Two days. Two days before fate had to set us four apart. After almost two and a half years, now it's only two days left. Time sure flew so fast.

I'll long for us struggling waking each other up for subuh, Yana's signature sneeze in the morning, Piqah's never ending Ayda Jebat alarm and Erna's stretch before going out of bed.

The memories of early morning chaos before going to class will surely make me smile alone in the future especially us reminding each other to wear pants before going out and the way all of us wanted to wear tudung in front of Piqah's locker coz hers got the best lighting ever haha.

I'll miss opening the door after class to seeing Yana still soundly sleeping, Piqah laughing and crying randomly in front of her laptop and Erna, she motivating me to sleep before the next class (and both of us had to skip the class due to oversleeping, duhh).

And ahh yess, our midnight memoriesss. I'll miss waking up at 3am laughing to Piqah and Yana's jokes, hearing you girls rant of hunger, and our late night gossips about whoever. One thing I regret not doing for the past semesters is resting my head on Piqah's back. How come I never knew she was so soft and cuddly?!! /cries/

I stared at them sleeping, slightly chuckled seeing their sleeping poses. Ahh, I'm so gonna miss you girls.

"Yanaa, Piqahh, Ernaa bangun subuhhhh"

I hope you girls miss that too /wink/

xxxx

To Syaleen, I missed you too. Things were surely different without you by our side. All five of us will surely make a great family and sisters together.

1051; You're a Hibiscus.

Bismillah.

I was so hungry.

I only had megi for last night's dinner and a mug of Nestum this morning. Erna's worse- she only had biscuits for dinner. Yeah you dont have to tell us. We women so lazy one to go downstairs to find food haha.

For a person who gets hungry all the time like me, this is a no-no. I. Need. Food. I. Can. Now. Eat. A. Man. Already. So after Zuhur, Erna & I, we rushed to have lunch together. I might be as well too hungry to think so I just put on anything I can grab from the locker.

As I walked out of the door, I glanced over the outfit that I'm wearing... oh gosh. RIP fashion sense. What was I thinking? Green cardigan and red tshirt? I mean, green and red? Together? This is literally an insult to all colour blinds in the world!

Blergh whatever. I've got stomach to be fed right now and this isnt really the time to talk fashion. Plus, I'm never gonna meet anyone I know down there, right? Riiighhtttttt??

Yeah right.

A bunch of guy friends are down there buying their food too. Now I'm embarassed of myself. Luck isnt on my side today. Huhuu. Eventhough no one really cares but... I DO HAVE A PRESTIGIOUS LEVEL TO BE MAINTAINED, NOT TO MENTION MY INSECURITIES!

Fuhh take a deep breath, Faqihah. Think positive. You gotta handle this.

Green and red? That's the colour of nature. Oh wait. You look like a flower. The petals and the leaves... Awwh, a hibiscus!

...

So guys, I went queuing for my food, chanting:

'It's okay. You look like a flower.'

'You're a flower'

'Yes, a flower.'

And I almost thought I've gone crazy.

1048; A Laundry Story

Bismillah.

Why do I feel so pathetic right now..

All I wanted to do was my laundry. Ive been walking back and forth at the corridor for the 9473726th times few moments just now.

One time Im out of my room huff and puff with my baldi, detergent and coins.

Another time Im out with a ruler to jolok this washing machine which just wont accept my 10cents.

Another few more times I have to find new coins in my room only to find the washing machine rejecting it again.

For God's sake, it's only 20cents left to wash all my clothes then Imma be the happiest lazy girl ever but no, fate just had it's way to make my day. *smiles and cries*

I. Am. Out. Of. Coins. And. Determinations. Help.

I. Also. Lost. My. RM2.30. To. A. Washing. Machine.

Now here I am, trying to calm myself down, writing a post about a washing machine that has just rejected me. Rejection hurts, bebeh.

p/s: Left my baldi & detergent there just in case anyone would want to do me justice. #prayforkiahslaundry #solazydontcare

1047; Joyahs

Bismillah.

Erna and I, we have a thing for asking each other what we're going to do. Being the penyibuks, we even call ourselves 'The Joyahs'.

Once I went out of the loo and she asked me what did I do. I answered her but then she was disgusted hahahaha.

"You shouldn't have explained it to me that detailed!"

"Dah kau tanya, aku jawablah!"

TU LAAA JOYAH LAGI!

1042; 5 Secrets to 4 Flat

Bismillah.

These are the tips that I get from those who get 4 flats for every semester.  I mingle with them a lot, so you can trust me if you want to..

Note that we are taking the actuarial science course and it is considered quite a tough one. Pretty sure that you'll say the same about your course.. nonetheless I hope this will help.

1. Pray.

If before this you only pray for yourself in your doa, next time try including everyone else in it.

Not only for your friends, do pray for your family too! If any of your siblings are taking PMR or SPM (or even the final exam) this year, do make doa for them. It'll mean a lot.

We are hoping for something from our Creator thus the doa must also comes with 'respect'. Do start and end your doa with the selawat, pray with all your heart and the most important, istiqamah. Pray for them (and of course, yourself) as often. After every solat, if possible.

Previously when I say 'include everyone else in your doa', I really mean EVERYONE. If you see someone trying to cross the street on a busy road, make doa for them. If you see motorcycle riders trying to make their way home in heavy rain, make doa for them. The doa goes as easy as 'Ya Allah permudahkanlah urusan beliau'. As easy as that, it wont do any harm! You make doa for random people whom won't even know you, and that's when the magic works.

It's karma as I always tell you. You do good to people, the world will then give the good to you. You pray for other people's success, the malaikat will also pray the same for you.

2. Teach.

I guess this point isn't for me because I don't inherit the 'teacher-genes' from ibu- but it is, for a friend of mine.

She never resist teaching and giving all of her knowledge to anyone who seeks help from her.

Once, she was already in her bed, getting ready to sleep when suddenly a bunch of people went into her room to study with her. She whatsapped a picture of the 'visitors' to me, saying that she was tired and still couldn't have her night sleep. I told her to yawn as loud and as often as possible to make them know that she was really worn out and sleepy. Hahaha. Of course she didn't do it but instead took the 'visitors' with all her heart and taught them well.

I learnt that this is one of her secrets to a 4-flats-for-every-semester. When you teach someone else, you'll understand the topic more. So the more you teach, the more you'll get.

3. Give.

University books make the biggest hole in the pocket. They are quite expensive that some might couldn't afford buying them. Plus the fact that you're gonna use only 5 pages from the 100 paged book that you bought, it sucks.

A person that I know, she sold only one or two of her books in a semester, and the rest of the semesters, she gave all of it to the juniors for free with hope of nothing in return but that it will ease their studies- and she got 4 flats for every semesters.

It's kinda brilliant, you know. Everytime someone gains knowledge from the book, the giver will gain pahala from it. If the book is continuously given for free, from one hand to another hand, just imagine how much pahala you can gain from one book.

If giving books for free feels too much, why not volunteer printing notes for your classmates and pay for them (or at least make them pay only half of the price). Any will do, they work the same way. Ease other person's difficulties, and Allah will ease it for you.

4. Parents.

I am around people who always do good to their parents. I've met most of their mothers and I've seen how good they have been treating their parents. They are the ones who always remind me to call my parents and treat them well.

A friend of mine, she would never betray her mother. If her mother doesn't agree with anything she does, then she won't do it. There were few times where I asked her to go out with me out of Seremban. I know that her mother won't let her go far so I incited her to tell her mother that she will go out with her friends, but not telling her whereabouts. It's not lying tho but still.. She then be firm with her decision to not betray her mother's advice and I have no choice but to respect her and her mother.

Another close friend of mine, she said that her biggest secret to 4 flats is to call her mom everytime she will be having quizzes, tests or exams. I've watched her doing that for few semesters already and I confirm you it works, in shaa Allah.

To conclude this point, Allah's redha comes after your parents'. And the doa of a mother works like magic.

5. Study.

Last but not least, the highlight point is of course, to study. Good things don't come easy. You don't really think you'll get 4 flat if you don't study, dont you..

Note: These are only some tips that I gained/ observed. If it doesn't work with you, do believe that Allah's plans are way bigger than your dreams *wink*

1004; CIMB Talent Trail 2016 (Challenges)

Bismillah.

.Part 2.

This time, it's about the challenges.

The aim of this competition is to build up the skills of professionalism among participants. At checkpoints, we were tested on our English communication & speaking skills, general knowledge skills, enterpreneuship skills and many more. But let's just put all that aside coz I'm here to talk physical.

On the day of the finale, we ended up running for many kilometres, taking countless lrt rides, climbing endless flights of stairs, another stairs, and stairs, and stairs.. Stairs were like, everywhere for God's sake and each were steep! LRT stations, flyovers, in buildings and there's even a checkpoint where we have to climb like another 10 flights of stairs or so before we could proceed to the quiz.

I remember feeling so so so relieved when seeing an escalator from afar. I was like, "Ya Allah, finally an escalatorrrrrrrr with no one on it!!" but fate just had to make it more dramatic for us that day. The escalator wasn't moving. At all. And I almost climbed up the stairs while crying blood. Tsk tsk tsk.

As for the running part, I could remember vividly that we had to run continuously so far away from the starting point to even the FIRST checkpoint. CIMB played the physical game very well. They might've killed us out of dehydration but nah, if you want to win this you'll have to go through this.

Pie & Megat, they ran really fast they made me so stressed out. Hahaha. They left us girls behind and kept shouting "Go faster faster faster" along the way and man I just feel like speeding up chasing them and then punch them in the face. Hahahah. Mental game almost gone wrong. However now, I'm glad they stressed me out like that coz if not, we may wont be in this place right now. Sorry guys, let's just replace the punch with a brofist now?

It could be a physical challenge but I could say, the mental strength is more important. Sure, we do have conflicts and little arguments out of exhaustion and tiredness, but thank goodness we were still on our right mind so even one conflict didn't last long. We say sorry immediately or in some other kind of way, lending a bottle of mineral water or praising him/ her when doing something.

I, I've always hated running since primary. It's just so not my forte. Often when doing things that are almost impossible for me, I put good mindsets to it.
I remember having to constantly motivate myself, "Selagi kau tak mati, kau lari je. Lari sampai kau terjatuh sendiri." This competition had surely brought my mindsetting to an assassin level.

And patience too. Coz this one person keeps taking pictures of me being ugly and stressed thus having the chance to make fun of me anytime.

Thanks for the edit, I really appreciate it. But next time do it with my face less sweaty and tanned?

1003; CIMB Talent Trail 2016 (Fitness)

Bismillah.

.Part 1.

Alhamdulillah, a chance to write about this after so long. We won the 4th place in CIMB Talent Trail 2016 and I was so eager to blog the experience. So here it goes..

The finale for CIMB Talent Trail Challenge wasn't what I expected. During the regional round (in MMU Cyberjaya) the tasks seem so easy. We ran around and do tasks while laughing and not even caring to win. It's a plus point for us to get 8th place in that regional round, thus marched towards the finale.

Before the finale, Pie kept pushing us to do fitnesses. I could see that Pie was so determined to win this.. Megat too... Erna too... and I was only initially hoping to go there for the experience... and for the sake of having fun. I mean, dont you guys remember we laughing and not being serious in the regional round? I thought we're doing the same thing for the finale, no?

So yeah, Erna & I, we did hell lot of exercises (for me at least), I almost thought I'd be growing 6 packs by the end of the semester.

:::

It'd be hurtful tho if anyone says that we won this challenge out of luck coz we've been putting our hearts and souls into this, and I almost left my body to only skins & bones (and muscles *wink) lol.

I dont hate exercises, I was just.. you know.. lazy. I couldn't even remember the last time I sweat myself out and of course my muscles ached so much in the first week. Erna, she had to listen to me scolding her for making me laugh coz it really hurts in the abs while laughing.

I know, such show off. I'm sorry you have to bear reading show-off stories of a fitness newbie. Hehe.

p/s: It's only this, this time. No one likes to read long posts right.. hehe. In shaa Allah I'll post more of the story next time.

995; Making The Move

Bismillah.

I was studying at the library today when a guy friend approached me all of a sudden.

He, apparently was attracted to a girl he just met at the library and wanted to approach her. So I spent a little time acting as 'the girl' and had to listen to the lines he wanna tell the girl. If you learn statistics, you call this person a 'dummy'. In this case, Im the dummy. What an angelic dummy. This dummy is supposed to be studying for the next paper but no, she's busy handling someone else's relationship.

Perhaps today wasn't his good day. All of the lines were failures because he was shaking too much while talking hahahahah. The girl must've given him 'that' aura to make him shook like that.

Then this question blurted out of my mouth, "What if she has a boyfriend?". There was a moment of silence and his face changed, looking so disappointed. I felt uneasy for breaking his heart but regret not, we have final exam few hours ahead and I thought this aint the best time to flirt on anyone.

It was my first time encountering something like that tho. It's like watching a behind-the-scene of a guy preparing to make a move on a girl.

This experience somehow made me wonder.

Is love that hard to be expressed?

Do people give up on love that easily?

994; Hi, This is Your Nenek in 2016

Bismillah.

(This 994th post was supposed to only be a 'p/s' for the previous post but it turned out to be so long I decided to make another one, lol.)

The previous post, (#993) was so random tho. Just felt like sharing any little things that happened. I love writing out all sorts of things (even nonsenses) coz I thought it might be useful some other time.

You know.. maybe when I'm 60 (if Allah wills), I could just click on this 'UITM' tag and refresh back all the memories here and smile alone while looking at my iphone 20s. Or maybe my grandchildren would read this and go 'ohh so this is what my nenek did when she's 20' or 'wow did nenek made her first move on atuk?! OH TELL ME YOU DID NOT DO THAT NENEK!'. Hahaha pardon my imaginations.

HOWEVER, if you happen to be my grandchildren scrolling through my blog,

'Hi, this is your nenek saying hi in 2016! Im almost 20, pretty, brilliant, popular and all men drool over me.

No dear, nenek joked.'

1750

993; We Live in a Funny World

Bismillah.

I was walking back to college with Erna and we were laughing almost all the way. Car that passed by made us laugh, a cat made us laugh, a tweet made us laugh, even hearing our laughters made us laugh! Freaks, lol.

I said, 'Dunia ni kelakar betul lah!' coz man we just can't stop laughing.

But that wasn't for long.

On our way, we met a junior. We said hi, but was replied with sobs. She told us she couldn't answer her final exam well and kept saying she might repeat the same paper next semester. We convinced her that everything's gonna be okay, nobody's repeating anything and after a few while of motivating, we went different ways.

Then I said, "Peh, aku ingat dunia ni kelakar je. Rupanya ada sedih jugak."

990; Cinta Sebekas Gula

Bismillah.

Perlu kongsikan ini untuk pedoman diri sendiri.

...

Tulisan Ustaz Ahmad Faiz:

" Cinta Sebekas Gula".

Kadang saya tegur, kadang saya cuma memerhatikan sahaja, kadang saya berhenti di hadapan mereka and 'gave them that look' sebelum saya sempat cakap apa², mereka faham dan buat gaya kekok terus buat² study.

Astagfirullahaladzhim. Saya nak cerita tentang cinta sebekas gula. Sebab selalu kita dengar pesanan org alim, jangan habiskan kemanisan sebelum pernikahan. Memang susah nak kawal perasaan cinta jika nafsu mendahului kita dan Iblis pula penghulunya. Bila cakap pasal student universiti ni kebanyakkannya suka trend berkapel dan buat study group berdua sahaja. Sehari tak jumpa memang tak boleh, boleh gila jadinya. Sakit digigit rindu katanya

"Kemanisan Cinta". Setiap kali berjumpa dengannya, amik sesudu gula dan buang gula tu keluar. Setiap kali rindu sampai berbual lagha, buang sesudu lagi. Setiap kali rasa dia tu la bf paling sweet dan couple goals terlaksana, buang sesudu lagi

Pelajar saya tanya, kenapa kena buang? Walau gula tu halal, tapi perbuatan tu tak manis. Walau cinta itu suci, tapi tetap berdosa kalau takde lesen nak bercinta.

Saya kata lagi, klau rasa bersalah, letak gula tu di sarang semut. Biar mereka angkut semua kasi rata!.

Bawak masa nak bernikah

Lihatlah kemanisan cinta yang ada. Jika setiap hari dah diguna, mana nak datangnya manis selepas nikah.
